Informational electronic signature verification service
The electronic service will enable informative verification of electronic signatures and seals in specific formats.
The electronic service of the central electronic filing office will make it possible to informatively verify the validity of:
qualified electronic signature (KEP)*,
improved electronic signature based on a qualified certificate,
signature made according to the rules valid in the Slovak Republic until June 30, 2016.**
recognized method of authorization according to the Decree on recognized methods of authorization from 1.1.2023 to 31.12.2024.
The service does not provide information on which of the jointly signed documents or which part of the document is signed.***
For more detailed information about supported formats, see the FAQ.
Warning: The informative verification service is not a qualified service for validating a qualified electronic signature / seal in the sense of Article 33 and 40 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No. 910/2014. Qualified validation services can be found in the trusted lists of EU member statesOpens in a new window.
If there are multiple signatures in the verified file and one of them is incorrect or unverifiable (for example, a signature with an unqualified certificate), the service returns an error and does not provide information about the possible validity of the other signatures. In that case, we recommend using another signature verification service. We recommend that public authorities base their submissions and decisions on the result of the signature verification sent to their electronic mailbox.
